A true spiritual marriage is an act of metamorphosis, a profound mystery of creation and rebirth, as two become one.  It is not a giving up or loss of oneself, but rather a giving over of oneself to something greater – a transformation of self in which each one can say, “I am no longer only I, but also we”.  It is a process in which each can be challenged to discover new possibilities in themselves and in each other.

The coming together of two people in love and commitment is a unique and beautiful occasion.  No two ceremonies are the same and nor should they be.

I am a registered Marriage Celebrant and Civil Union Celebrant in Aotearoa New Zealand and have conducted over 80 marriages, handfastings and civil unions. I was registered in 2005 and have been re-registered every year since. My home territory covers Wellington to Otaki in the North Island but I am happy to travel further afield if travel and accommodation costs are covered.

I offer Druid, pagan, alternative spirituality and non-religious ceremonies and I can create whatever ceremony you would like, from handfasting to formal.  Initially I like to have a conversation with both of you together and then, if you decide to have me as your Celebrant I provide an outline and a lot of either/or suggestions so that you can have the ceremony that is uniquely yours and perfect for you.  It is completely up to you to add, delete, change and make it your own.  With my quite extensive knowledge of rituals great and small, I am here to make suggestions and research appropriate aspects if required. I can also help find the right words for commitment to children from your partnership or a previous one. There are very few words required by law in the ceremony – the rest is up to you and I am very happy to assist you in this.
